British designer J. H. Dearle was a student of William Morris (who achieved far more fame). However, his boldly stylised leaves and richly detailed flowers are in no way inferior to the patterns of his renowned teacher! Paper model Leicester is based on a design by Dearle from 1912. With its fresh shades of green and nuances of pink and orange on a white-grey background, it is a truly artistic depiction of spring.
